Is there a weight limit?
No! Every body is an aerial body.
Is there an age limit?
Our adult classes are for ages 18+. Check class descriptions for the age level of youth classes. Advanced teens can attend adult classes with approval. We offer private lessons for all ages.
Can men take classes?
Yes, everyone is welcome at Suspended Animation
Do you have to be really strong to try aerial acrobatics?
No! We get this question all the time. Our intro classes are designed to be truly all levels. You will get stronger by doing aerial acrobatics!
What should I wear?
Full coverage is best. We recommend a fitted short-sleeved shirt that covers your midriff and full length fitted pants for your first lesson.
Is it dangerous?
Any physical activity has its risks, but our instructors have extensive training on how to keep you safe. When you are new, you will train very low to the ground and over mats.
Are your instructors certified?
Unfortunately, there is no governing body in the United States to oversee aerial certification programs. There are many teacher trainings available. Some of them provide a certificate at the end, but none of them lead to a standardized or approved certification. All of our instructors have completed training in anatomy, rigging, first aid, CPR, and apparatus-specific skill progressions.
I have a medical condition or injury. Is it still safe to come to class?
This is a discussion to have with a medical professional. Our waivers ask you to agree that you have medical clearance to participate in our classes.
